Still Photos | Albania

In 1996 I traveled to Albania. Albania had been open to outside travel for about 6 months when we went. I was lucky enough to stumble across someone who knew a peace core worker there. Through this person's association we arranged to stay with familys from the North to the South. It was an incredible experince. I went with my K1000 and what turned out to be a damaged Tamron zoom lens. You will notice in the mid range focal length it would not focus. I went prepared with the knowledge there would be no backup for film and such. My in-camera meter malfunctioned when I was there so most photos you see were shot at my best guess f-stop. I shot the colour with Fuji's Velvia at an asa of 50. I think I did some pretty good guessing. The photos were not always chosen for being good but just because I want you to see the countryside.
